Sai Fashions at the Manchester Asian Lifestyle Wedding and Fashion Exhibition

Sai Fashions had a range of ladieswear, menswear and a few kids outfits too on display at the Manchester Asian Lifestyle Wedding and Fashion Exhibition. Their theme for the show was something along the lines of angels or fairies...so don't be suprised to see a few fairy wands and tinsel halos:

These four childrens outfits started the show. I like the black outfit best, with the harem pants (or genie pants as I like to call them!) I'm actually a bit surprised there wasn't a ladieswear version of this type of suit on show from any of the designers.

What do you think of these two velvet outfits? I'm not entirely convinced, the first suit, with the purple velvet jacket looks a bit too heavy for the summer. As for the other lehnga suit, the top looks a little too plain to go with that fully embroidered skirt, I think you'd really need to accessorise with big earrings and a big necklace.

I like 2 out of the 3 outfits in this last photo...can you guess which ones?? I really don't like the sickly shiny orange and pink lehnga, it stands out for all the wrong reasons! I like the yellow churidar suit, although I'd try and get it with short sleeves :)

  3. visited sai fashions a couple of weeks ago with my friend who had seen a lengha she really liked for her weding, she wanted a second opinion so i asked her to try it on for me, we were helped by an assitant who was very complimentary on the outfit.. when the outfit was on she helped my friend fix the dupatta and commented on how nice it looked, my friend asked my opioon and i tol hr it was lovely and suited her, the assistant was very intrusive and my friend asked if she could give her a moment to see how she felt about the outfit wityh out being pressurised into buying it.. the assistant walked awaya nd a 30 seconds later retunred with another lady who worked in the shop who blurted out in front of other customers that she must take the out fit off before she started sweating in it as other people may also want to try it on.. you can imagine how shocked we were at her rude comment!

  4. my frined assured assurared her she had showered and was not sweating.. and if she was going to spend £1500 on an outfit she would want to try it for more than 30 seconds! as you can imagine as nice as the outfit was the level of service persuaded us to look elsewhere. ... i would highly recommnd some customer service skill training!!

  5. Hi, I have been to this store recently and have been treated so rudely. I bought a suit and had it handwashed but the color came off and it shrunk. I took it back to the store and in front of a few customer I get told that I have put the clothes in the washing machine!! I was so upset and told her to stop accusing me of this as I handwash my asian clothes which have some work on them. She blatendly ignored me and said she can't do anything about it. I felt really bad and will never go back again. They definetely need customer service skills. They only know how to take your money but not how to make happy customers.

  6. I just would like to say that i have been to Sai Fashions on numerous occasions and the staff have always been more than helpful.... I just feeel like you must have had a bad experience. I was there again today and all the staff were soo helpful and even advised me to try the clothes on before purchasing them. I got my wedding outfit from there and i didnt have a problem they were more then obliging. I would definatley recommend Sai Fashions

  7. very disappointed customer!!

I totally agree with the fact that sai fashions DEFINITELY!! need some training ... my personal experience of shopping here has not been a pleasant one either. I tried half an outfit on and was refused to try the other half coz it was clipped onto a hanger as well as being told that if i wanted it i could not return it as it was a sale item. there is also a strong presence of who is boss which i believe does not need to be expressed especially in front of the customers ... where is the respect?? just because someone is working for you does not mean that they are beneath you!!!!... sai fashions would have been a convenient place for me to purchase my wedding dress but the thought of having rude people to deal with totally put me off, i mean deciding on an outfit alone is an extremely stressful time, its an experience you want to enjoy and remeber not have nightmares about ... i brought mine from bombay stores and spent ages in the dressing room, i received assistance when i needed, truly an amazing experience and money worth spent!! i really hope sai fashions take on board the critisms made as it not all about making money as the customer experience is central to achieving better success after all it is the customer who is paying ...

    ReplyDelete
  8. Sai Fashion staff are rude and need lessons in customer service I would totally agree. The items in the shop are poorly made and expensive for what you pay. Shop around. The lady boss is full of herself and speaks to customers rudely also. Sale time is an experience when they do not even let you change an item that has been wrongly sixed by them or priced wrongly, they sell it at a different price, when legally it should be sold at the price on the tag. Go elsewhere

  9. In response to anonymous immediately above, I've known two brides who have loved their wedding outfits from Sai Fashions and there weren't any complaints about quality. No idea about their in-store experience though!

please ladies or gents if any of you are considering buying from that place then think again, despite being promised that they cater to all your needs, their service is crap, nothing that you order is as it should be and when you tell them this, then instead of trying to help you , they start having a go at you.

  14. I love their outfits and their key fashion sense. They really deliver to your customer needs. They are fast, due to the amount of people that come to them due to their popularity. However, they are not rude! They really take the time to connect with the customer. I know few people that drive 4-5hrs to their shop. And those customers have always been treated like friends. Anyways, ignoring the haters...Not only I but many others LOVE their stuff. Thank you for brining excellence of India to UK.

  16. I witnessed the worst ever customer serviceat Sai the other day when i went to their sale. First, 1 staff member barged in and started shouting at customers who were trying dresses on. Customers were NOT allowed to try things on, and their were no returns/exchanges allowed once sale items had been boughts. First staff member shouted and said theres cameras around the room and theres men upstairs. then she went and shouted at another younger girl,, THEN she shouted across the room to another staff member to keep an eye on customers because they were trying clothes on and that there were men upstairs and that these women just didnt care about being seen by men. (note: the dresses were being tried on OVER their clothes, i did not see anyone stripping annd trying on clothes)

1 of the next things i witnessed, THIS stopped me in my tracks. 1 staff member went to 'straighten out' a clothes rail. her LOUD conversation with a colleague ,,,, first she complained about the rail being left a mess (???!!) and then said the rail should FALL on someones head. then she commented ''yeah and theyll be the first to claim wont they'' And so the conversation continued,,, sorry but if you dont like customers why the hell would you work in a shop. the staff overall are completely useless and rude.
NOT worth the visit if you any self respect!

  17. I have to say I have had experience with staff at sai fashions. They are extremely rude and take a liking to certain people (maybe regular customers). Have to admit it doesnt stop me from buying outfits, when the sales on they do sell value for money...ignore the crap customer service, your not there to make friends...and I wouldnt expect anything less from them....its a family oriented business not a professional sales business....would like to see someone put them in thier place!

  18. Sai Fashions is just down the road for me. I have been in their many times, I have to say the clothes are nice and prices are not too bad. But the customer service is diabolical!!!! no one ever smiles at you, instead they just look away. And if you need any help, it feels like you are asking them for a favour. And yes if you ask them a question, you get shouted at, iv seen this many times. After being in their a hundred times the customer service is always the same (CRAP!!!!!). They are stuck up their own back sides and think they are better than anyone else, which makes it difficult to approach them when you need help or some advice. Yet i still keep going back!!!!!! what can i say, its down the road and bets driving to wimmy road.

  19. I have to say I agree with all of the above comments about bad customer service these people are appalling have no manners at all I was in love with their clothes which I normally buy from zara boutique in Rochdale but off chance I went there directly for my wedding shopping will not be shopping again has put me off and i will also be telling freinds and family not to go there to be humiliated!!!

  20. it seems to be such a shame they offer this kind of service. if anyone they are the ones who are losing out. i work in a shop and we always treat customers the way we would like to be treated i.e. not jumpping on them the minute they walk through the door and by letting them feel free and browse with no time pressure and always offering honest advice.they dont realise they are there because of the customers support. if they were no customers they would be not shop,

  21. i love sai fashions i got wicked deals they r so friendly they helped me so much with choosing my outfits thankyou

  22. Most of the above comments must be from people that wish to start some hate campaign against Sai Fashions. Me and my partner went to so many places in the area to try and get some outfits that were both suitable and affordable. On the off chance we went to Sai Fashions and found that not only did they have something that suited our budget but also that the staff, one in particular, was very patient and helpful and stayed with us while be made our buying decisions. And while we were there from what I could see all the customers that were in the shop all looked happy, content and very well looked after! So a suggestion to the people or person above making the comments LEARN HOW TO SPELL and dont shop where you want champagne for lemonade money!

  23. i think that every satff member at sai fashionn is extremel rude. even though i have bought many cloths from them in the past theyy are not very considirate of this. They do not get their job done on time and have too much attitude which is unneccicery!! i have been their a million times and have experienced the same customer service!!! if there are soo many people saying this about the staff members and their service then there must be smthing wrng with the place!! even tho they sell brilliant cloths loll ... oh well x

  27. Sai Fashions , your name is perfect it really does make people SIGH after they have been to your shop!! I think you have got to understand that this is not ALL about the money, if you owners have a little respect you will take this feed back on board and improve your services -you have clearly left customers un happy and dis satisfied. Thats not what customer service skills teach. You may be earning the money but Allah WILL question you for being un just to people, shouting and dis respecting people. You may have more money and own a business but everyone is equal in Allahs eyes so stop being so ignorant and bring yourself down a peg or 2!! And for the latter my experience was HORRENDOUS!!! I bought a outfit and realised it was torn when i took it home having spent £250 on this i went to return it, but i was accused that i did it myself as i changed my mind on the outfit and this WAS clearly false!!!! I was stressed out enough with the wedding and you guys made it worse!!! Shame on you but i hope you see the staight path soon!!!

    Regards
    A very very angry customer.

  28. just like to say the staff at sai do there best to please all customers that walk into the shop !!! we do recive all our customers with a happy hello and smile at who ever comes through the door even the post man !!!!! people reading all these comments wrote by upset customers must also remember there are always two sides to every story !!!!! we always try our hardest to be polite and most of all very helpfull to all our customers and must also remember that the world is full of people that just cant be pleased no matter what service they recive!!! the comment that was made by the the customeron the 22nd of jan just like to say she had been in the shop quiet a few times and tried the same lengha on a few times and can on that day had it on for more then 30mins and was walking round the shop looking at other clothes and was asked to take it of and at no time was the word sweating said !!!! i myself have shopped in other shops in man, bham and even london and can say that were not always recived with a smile or even a hello but that didnt mean i was going to come home and get my laptop out and write rude comments about the staff !!!! from a VERY ANNOYED STAFF MEMBER AT SAI !!!!!!!!!

  34. i have got to say, honestly sai fashions service isnt excellent, but hey at the end of the day, u r nt going to get complimentss for , where you got the outfit from, but for the actual clothes, andthey are amazing, that is what u will gt praised for,,,,, so urm, for eg.. like in highstreet brands, like lv, and armani, the service is horrible, bt tt is nt eht u r spending the money, on , its is the product , so , stop, blabbering about theservice, bt the product....

    ReplyDelete
  35. I must say I disagree with the comment above which says that the quality of an outfit can make up for a poor customer experience. Yes you might look nice in the dress and get compliments, but if you had a bad experience buying it, then you will always remember that.

    ReplyDelete
  36. actually, i feel, llike when you go shopping to tescos for example, you dont rember the lady/man behind the till, but the food you buy,,when u go home and cook it. customer service, isnt tht bad, they r nt there to be ure best friend - 'nazma'.............. so yhe they do wht they gotta, :s

    ReplyDelete
  37. Ok, I get the point with your Tesco example, but you can't compare your weekly food shop to shopping for an asian outfit, particularly if it's your bridal outfit!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Wow, so it doesn't matter if you get treated like crap, just hand over your cash and at least wear the outfits for compliments? It's that kind of thinking that allows the likes of Sai Fashions to treat their customers the way that they do.

  40. i've purchased many outfits from sai fashions and i've never had a problem with the staff or their customer service! i was in there a couple of days ago and the staff where extremely helpful. i spent two hours deciding how i wanted my suit to be designed and they took my measurements and helped me with the colours by showing me a colour chart. i can understand, its not easy to decide your wedding outfit and you do require time but i would honeslty recommend sai fashions to people who are looking for elegant, stylish and cost effective suits!!!
looking forward to picking up my final piece at the end of this week :)

  41. I really think sai fashions customer services is really shit. The woman owner loves herself even though she's not great looking. As for the husband he's really rude and abnoxious just because he drives a merc? Sad really. The outfits are amazing but the owners look at everyone as though they are a bit of dirt that has fallen off the back of their shoe. They always look at you with a suspicious eye. I didn't find them helpful at all. They seem to love their regulars only. Not the ones that shop in their occasionally. The woman owner walks around the shop modelling the outfits as though she's on the cat walk. It's ashame really. They create their own prices dependent on the customer. Not reliable at all. I don't intend to go there ever again. I've seen Many customers insulted over petty things. Naturally you lose your self respect. Not worth the hassle. I went to check for my wedding outfit and the service was crap. The woman owner only wanted to show the stall off if she knew that you were 100% going to buy otherwise there was no chance. All I can say is stop loving yourself too much and please ensure customer satisfaction!!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Where do people find the time to hate. I bought both my wedding outfits from sai fashions and had no problem what so ever, the staff are there to help and assist you not kiss the floor you walk on. As for the sweating episode, it takes 1 go to try on your wedding dress and realise its the 1, you do not need to walk around in the dress for half an hour on numerous occasions before you decide you are buying, comment made from person on 22nd January you clearly were not buying, but merely wasting every bodies time including your own and damaging an expensive piece, look at it from the owners perspective, you would be annoyed if you had paid for the dress and the staff were allowing other customers to try this on. I have been to sai fashions on many occasions, and on many occasions left empty handed but have never found the owners rude or arrogant towards me for this, i cant speak for the other staff but have always been acknowledged by the owners if they are in the shop. Have you ever visited the store during the sale period, the store is always extremely busy, makes sense to me you are not allowed to try sale items on, stores like next and debenhams adopt the same approach during there busy sales. All I have to say to the person who made the above comment, do something with your own life instead of spending it being jealous of people that are more successful than you.
People if your looking for a decent outfit at a decent price shop around but keep this store in mind to. FF

  43. I went to Sai fashions with my sister in law to pick her lengha up they did a good job with the lengha absolute stunned it was as for the service it's appalling it's customers who make the business successful am bot that harsh about them as I've recommended couple of brides to be to check Sai fashions out but improve on your skills it's not hard to be friendly genuinely interested in what the customer is looking for but then again that's Asian people they think they can treat others like dirt I guarantee if a White person walked in it would be exceptional service

There are some good reviews but surely there is something lacking as bad reviews seem to dominate....and for thos using Tesco examples at least we dont come out of there upset with the person at the till...and if we need help there are plenty of people to show us where things are etc...hmmmmmmm

  50. I am a regular customer at sai's go there allllll the time prices are high clothes are excellent some staff are nice at times they can be rude I do think Olof your spending £2000 on a bridal lengha you shud b allowed to try it in for more than 5 mins whether you know it's the one or not just becoz you know it's the perfect outfit it doesn't mean you try it on then take it if after 3 seconds a true bride needs to look at it properly to make sure there happy and that it's perfect for the big day. I think the staff are ok but cud b more polite the 2 older ladies in bridal section upstairs are the worst! There is one who will blatantly say sumthin evil in front of everyone around you and purposely hurt your feelings.

  51. I,ve been to sai fashions a few times, and they are complete crap. Their service is appaling. The assistants think there really something, and will only give you the time of day if you look good. I would never go there again, and to be honest their clothes might be nice but you can find much better if you shop around. Their overpriced and material is crap. Wash once and bye bye. Out of 10, I'd give them zilch.

  53. Living in Birmingham,I hardly ever come down to Manchester but had heard that Sai Fashions is a large bridal store with great lenghas and suits for weddings, and so i made the mistake of recommending it to my future sister-in law. Unfortunately, i felt humiliated when i heard of the poor customer service she and her sisters received. The staff were apparently very rude, stuck up and the prices of clothes seemed to change according to how 'keen' the customer looked to purchase there item.

  54. I must say Sai Fashions have some amazing clothes! But your first experience is always your last. I visited the shop for the first time to buy a male sherwani. At the time I didn't realise that the sherwani was faulty and had no embroidery on one arm of the sherwani. I admit it was careless of me to see this, but as a business they should not be selling faulty goods. I took the sherwani back and the owner was very rude and disobedient. Im surprised nobody has sued him with the amount of breach to the terms of business law. The owner argued and was not willing to return the sherwani but I made it clear that he would be taken to trying standards! Will never be shopping there again!

However i did not have to worry what a fantastic experience.I had no intention on buying but Jyoti the lady that owns the shop made me try on many outfits and was amazingly honest.I bought the most fab outfit.Im shocked at the reviews here as my experience was nothing like what others have said.I would also like to add i have also been to Imani Fashion and i would say they are unhelpful and pushy but Sai Fashion gets my vote and i will be returning very soon.Thank you to all the staff and most importantly Jyoti.

  58. sai fashions assistants have no patience in the sale, my little girl is getting married, she was looking for her perfect bridal lengha, and it seemed jyoti - the owner and the assistants were getting a bit angry after my daughter tried on about 3 lenghas, i mean did they exspect her to try one and but it? sai fashions dont need to hold a sale, but infact do need some lessons on customer service. Scincerly very dissapointed customer

  59. overpriced for the dreadful quality of clothes and i wouldn't bother visiting this shop unless you want to be humiliated by the assistants in front of other shoppers. Such a bad experience, will never be returning.

  60. Despite being wary about shopping here after reading some of these reviews thought i should go and make my own opinions on the store. I went with my sister for her wedding at the end of the year and was disgusted with the customer service. The owner seemed to be so rude. There were children running everywhere, who happened to be the owners children, pulling clothes out of adults hands declaring them 'not for sale'.

I don't know what some ppl have against Sai Fashions but iv been then on numerous occasions an got my both wedding day n Walima day outfit an it was within my budget an had the best customer service ever the staff were sooooooo friendly an sweet. I have never been in Sai Fashions n seen anyone upset or arguing over refunds. I think ppl should be more understanding an think these ppl are running a business not a free clothes charity shop that when you buy something, wear it an then return it an think it's acceptable. Sorry but get back in reality u only get what you put into anything. Once again I would like to reiterate that iv had the best customer service from Sai Fashions an recommend them to everyone. Kiran. I would definatly recommend you giving a look at Shadi mubarak before visiting Sai Fashions.
Also i think there are many shops on wilmslow road for example alankar ,fushia and anand fashions that are much more better in every aspect compared to sai fashions, would definatly reccomend some shopping at the named stores before visiting sai fashions.

  72. We have stopped going to Sai Fashions due to many bad experiences; ordered items not arriving, wrong sizes ordered, deposits (hundreds of pounds) gone to waste and BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Don't deserve any credit they get, when the 'one peice' outfits can be found in other stores. The need to attend a customer service course and learn some manners.

  74. i agree with ALL of the comments above with regards to CRAP service. The ones that get treated properly are probably the ones with money and look the part. its funny how the ones who are looking at wedding lenghas etc are the ones who get treated properly, probably because they are the ones spending that little bit extra than normal. I think its about time Sai Fashions had a rival, you would soon see a huge decline in their sales. (now thats an idea)...

  78. I agree with many of the negative comments on here. I can't believe that people think Sai fashion staff are actually helpful and that the quality of clothing is any good. It wouldn't surprise me if Sai fashion out those comments on themselves. The clothes are over priced for what they are and they are not that special. You can get better Value for money at many of the shops on Wilslow Road. The staff need customer service training and have serious attitude problems.

  79. I have been to Sai Fashion sales and they are very busy. Sadly the customer service is something that they aren not good with. Staff are rude and arrogant. Not a friendly place to shop in. I don't understand why people go there.
