Have your wedding featured on TV - two new wedding shows looking for couples

I'm currently in the middle of a big family wedding, hence the reason for the lack of blog updates lately! I have lots of blog posts lined up, but in the meantime, whilst we're talking about weddings, here are two tv shows which are on the lookout for couples who are getting married:

Fancy having your wedding day paid for?
A major TV production company is offering to pay for one couple’s
very special day…..The only condition is that you hand over all
responsibility to our famous, mystery wedding planner, PLUS we
film your wedding plans – and of course the Big Day, itself…..

What could be easier?

Interested in finding out more? Then please contact us by emailing: weddingplanner@renegadepictures.co.uk

Is religion at the heart of your wedding?
ARE YOU ENGAGED AND GETTING MARRIED BETWEEN NOW AND APRIL 2012?

HAVE YOU ENLISTED THE HELP OF A FANTASTIC WEDDING PLANNER OR HANDED OVER THE PLANNING DUTIES TO SOMEONE ELSE? IS AN OVER-EAGER MOTHER-IN-LAW OR MEMBER OF THE COMMUNITY TAKING CONTROL?

IS RELIGION AT THE HEART OF YOUR CEREMONY?

If so we would love to hear from you. We are looking for engaged couples from all religions, cultures and backgrounds to appear on a brand new primetime BBC series. If you have enlisted the help of a professional planner or even a family member to take charge of plans please contact us as soon as possible to find out more.

Sounia Gohil at the Ardhanginni Indian Wedding Show 2011

There was definitely a bridal feel to the collection by Sounia Gohil at the Ardhanginni Indian Wedding Show 2011, and some of the outfits had even been on show at last year's Aamby Valley India Bridal Week.
Photo credits go to Shahid Malik Studio.

The show started with some saris:

Then onto some lehngas:
I liked all of this collection, they're beautiful and flattering but subtle too in that they're not covered in embroidery everywhere.

Zooni at the Ardhanginni Indian Wedding Show 2011

Zooni was another one of the designers on the catwalk at the Ardhanginni Indian Wedding Show 2011. Now considering this was an "Indian Wedding" exhibition which took place in the UK, you'd expect to see indian bridalwear and formalwear.
Zooni's collection, however, was full of western-style dresses:
I'm not liking either of these purple dresses, they both look a little bit shapeless to me.

This black dress is a little more flattering though:

As for this dress...perhaps it's an unfortunate camera angle?!

They did have two slightly more traditional-style outfits which were pretty:

I've had a little browse on the Zooni website and surprisingly they do actually have an indian bridal collection, so I'm not sure why they decided to showcase these dresses instead! For anybody that's interested, online retail website IndianHanger.com sells Zooni dresses, click here to view.

A big thanks to Shahid Malik Studio for these photos.
