Zeeshan Bariwala at London's Pakistan Fashion Week 3

Another designer collection which caught my eye from this month's Pakistan Fashion Week in London was by Zeeshan Bariwala.

If you've been following Pakistani fashion trends you will no doubt have seen lots of floor length evening gowns, there were plenty on show at this event too, but something about the Zeeshan Bariwala collection stood out to me.

This is one of my favourites from the collection, I like the way it's open at the front and the subtle colours main with hints of red and blue.

I liked most of the outfits from the collection, but this next outfit didn't quite have the same elegance as the rest. I don't like it at all!

Gul Ahmed at London's Pakistan Fashion Week 3

Following on from my first look at Pakistan Fashion Week 3 in London, here's a more detailed look at the collection on the catwalk from Gul Ahmed.

The collection was characterised by damask and zig-zag patterns, both of which are featured in this first striking black and gold outfit. I like both patterns but the model seems to be a bit lost in all that fabric!

Fringing was another feature in some of these outfits, I'm not sure I like the way it looks, especially in the outfit below...but I think the embroidery design on the back makes up for my dislike of the fringing on the front!

This next outfit was probably my least favourite from the collection, the fringing and neckline design don't appeal to me at all.

I really liked this next rust/orange outfit. I love the sparkly border and the shorter fringing on this outfit is a lot more appealing.

The style of this outfit isn't something I'd pick out for myself, but I love the colour combination and the subtle way blue has been added through the lining of the jacket.

This was the finale outfit, another black and gold number with lots of layers.

Pakistan Fashion Week 3 London November 2012 First Look

Last weekend saw the return of "Pakistan Fashion Week" to London. The two-day event saw a range of asian fashion designers showcasing spring/summer collections.

I've not had a chance to go through all the collections in detail, but I did come across this great little video montage which was made for implausibleblog.com and featuring photos by Aliway.

Debarun Mukherjee at 2012 Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive

Here's a selection of outfits from Debarun Mukherjee's show at 2012 Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive.
The show took place way back in August this year and I've had these photos saved up ready to post in draft form and it was only when I wore my own Debarun outfit from their 2011 winter collection that I remembered about this unfinished blog post!

This collection was called Omnipresent and was part of "Indian Textile Day" at Lakme Fashion Week.


I would say this designer isn't the most obvious choice for asian fashion fans who want glamour, but there is something elegant about these outfits and you'd stand out wearing on of these at a party where all the other guests were wearing the usual bling-ed up outfits.

Desi Sisters launch event at Bhive in Manchester

I recently attended the launch event for Desi Sisters at Bhive in Manchester. Two of Manchester's asian fashion boutiques displayed their collections at the launch, Amina Couture:
and Imani Studio:
Bombay Stores also provided outfits which were worn by these young ladies:

Food at the event was provided by Desi Lounge, who I highly recommend for catering - they have catered two of my family weddings including my own!

Manish Malhotra dresses Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Demi Moore and other celebs in India

This week, Naomi Campbell held a star-studded 50th birthday party for her billionaire boyfriend in India. Guests included supermodels Kate Moss, Eva Herzigova, Karolina Kurkova as well as Hollywood stars like Demi Moore.

Manish Malhotra dressed some of the guests for this 3-day event and here are some of the party pics for you to feast your eyes on!
