Trends from Pakistan Sunsilk Fashion Week 2014

The Pakistan Fashion Design Council's 7th Fashion Week was held in Lahore, Pakistan, earlier this month. Here are some of the looks from this 4-day event that caught my eye!

First up Mohsin Ali for Libas:
Now I know Chanel had models in trainers/sneakers at their 2014 Paris Fashion Week show, but to me they just don't work here at all!

House of Arsalan Iqbal
I liked the styling of this collection with the models wearing vintage looking explorer-style goggles and accessories. I also liked the relaxed loose feel to the outfits and the fact the look works on both men and women - it's all about those harem pants!

The two saris at the front were my favourites from this collection but I had to share this pic of all the outfits because the colour palette is so vibrant.

Shehla Chatoor
Glossy saris with fringing detail!

Karma Pink
(Check out Karma Pink's 1920s themed collection from last year's PFDC Sunsilk Fashion week which I blogged about here)

Fahad Hussayn

These were come of the more wearable outfits in the collection, which also included some very dramatic mini dresses worn with thigh-high boots!
This sari from the collection, particularly the way it has been styled with the headband, really reminded me of Indian designer Sabyasachi.

Nida Azwer
Interesting concept - shorts under skirts and dresses.

I love the jackets with each of these outfits!

Rizwan Beyg
This collection was a bit like stepping back in time!

Khaadi Khaas
One of my favourites - this collection showed off a great way to work the floral trend and even came with matching bags!
