Floral Lenghas with Crop Tops - on my 2015 wishlist

One of the items on my wishlist for asian outfits this year is a floral lehnga with a crop top!

I've seen a few of these outfits on the catwalks in Pakistan and India and being worn by celebrities, so here are some of my favourite examples of this style!

First up, is this outfit from Manish Malhotra's "A Summer Affair" collection.

Now on the model at the catwalk show, it didn't stand out to me at all, but when actress Esha Gupta wore it, with a higher necklined sleeveless crop top, I fell in love with the look!

The official online Manish Malhotra store has this lengha in stock for just over $3000, which is vastly out of my price range, but you can take a look at the specifications here anyway!

Next up are these two floral lenghas by Sapana Amin from her 2014 "Bombay Eclectic" collection.
The styling of these in the photoshoot is more of a traditional asian look, compared to the Manish Malhotra floral lengha. I really like the belt styling!

Now for some full on sequinned glamour, with these two lenghas from Kylee
I came across these two whilst browsing online store Exclusively.in. I'm really drawn to the orange lengha, although at nearly $755, again this one's not in my budget, but you can see all the details here.

This next outfit was showcased by Pakistani designer Zara Shahjahan at Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2014 in India.

Here's another floral lengha by Zara Shahjahan from an editorial photoshoot:

Another from Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive - this one's by Krishna Mehta:

Not quite floral, but I feel this celebrity look falls into a similar theme with the rest of these chic lenghas and crop tops - Neha Dhupia in a crop top by Payal Singhal and a skirt by Anju Modi:
I like everything about this look, from the chic sleek updo, to sticking with two statement necklaces and not much else jewellery!

Next up, an outfit I came very very close to purchasing...
I came across this on Pernia's Pop Up Shop. It's not quite full-on floral, but the cream lengha has a floral-esque design on it when you look up close. I like the stripe of hot pink on the lengha and when I first saw it on the site at the end of last year, it was priced at £330 (I checked again recently and it's now priced at £350). To be fair, I don't usually spend that much on asian outfits, but I have a close family wedding this year which I can justify a bit more spend!

As the cost was over a certain amount, shipping to the UK was free and I went 90% through the checkout process online, but stopped to check what the customs charges would be for having this sent from India to the UK (as I've not ordered anything online from India recently). The online calculator I used showed up a total cost of around £400 which is way more than I wanted to spend, so I decided to leave it and see what UK stores can offer instead.

So the search for a floral lengha and crop top continues!

What do you think of this trend? And any tips for asian shops in the UK that I should check out for the floral trend?
