This week, The Fashion Design Council of India celebrated the 10th year of its Couture Week shows. I've been following on Instagram and Facebook and as much as it's about the clothes I always get lots of inspirations for outfit styling, hair and make-up looks.
There's just 1 week left of Ramadan 2017, which means Eid is on the way! Last week I went off in search of some Eid outfit inspiration at Intu Trafford Centre. At the end of March, a Khaadi store opened in the shopping centre (click here to read my review!) but this wasn't the only store which offered up something for Eid, in fact even though I only went for a browse...I ended up buying my Eid outfit from Zara!

Last month London held host to the 11th Pakistan Fashion Week event. There were 34 designer collections on show, including jewellery and menswear alongside the expected ladieswear and bridals.
Here's a look at the collection by Ayesha Aejaz, which featured jumpsuits, floral embroidery, high-low hems and lots of peach tones.
Last week, Pakistani womenswear fashion store Khaadi opened at The Trafford Centre in Manchester. I popped along for a visit to check out the clothes, the prices and more!
Sonam Kapoor was in London last weekend for the Divalicious Exhibition and during her time in the UK she also did a photoshoot for Khush Wedding Magazine and Aashni & Co.
The magazine itself isn't out yet, but the Khush Wedding team have posted some behind the scenes sneak peeks.
If you're like me (or the other 8 millions people) who follow Bollywood actress and fashionista Sonam Kapoor on Instagram, you'll have noticed on her feed the wedding celebrations of her cousin Akshay Marwah.
The pics from this star-filled wedding were a dream for fashion fans and here are some of my favourite looks from the guests, as shared on Instagram.
The "cold shoulder" cut-out trend is all over the high street and if you look in the right places, you can find cut-out sleeves on saree blouses, anarkali dresses and kameez tops too. Here are some ways to wear this look.
First up this evening gown style dress from SVA, which has long flowing sleeves to contrast with the cold shoulders.
When I was looking through all the pics from the Fashion Parade Bride show, This collection was a real stand out for me at the Fashion Parade Bride show, so I felt it deserved it's own post!
London held host to another feast for Asian fashion fans, the Fashion Parade Bride show. This event celebrate a number of Pakistani fashion designers including: Nomi Ansari, Tena Durrani, and Maria B.
The Aashni & Co bridal show returned to London last month, drawing a whole host of India's top fashion designers, plus a couple of Pakistani designers too.

I didn't attend this year but I was watching all the action on Snapchat, Instagram and Twitter. For anyone else that didn't make it, here's a closer look at the event and all those amazing outfits!
My love affair with floral trend asian outfits is still going strong, and so far this year, the collection which I'd love to own more than any other comes from Varun Bahl. It's the collection he showcased at last year's Amazon India Couture Week.
A recent visit to London took me back to the Victoria & Albert Museum (you may have read about my visit to the Fabric of India Exhibition last year). Continuing with V&A India festival, another special exhibition which they have open right now is the Bejwelled Treasures - The Al Thani Collection.
Read on to see my highlights from the exhibition and why you should visit.
The Aashni & Co Wedding Show is back for 2016 and on the 10th January 2016, some of India's top designers will be showcasing their collections at the Dorchester in London.
The line up is full of celebrity favourites and this year also includes a Pakistani designer - Faraz Manan.
This is the full line up and a look at some of their outfits:
Earlier this month, I visited the Victoria & Albert Museum in London to see their Fabric of India exhibition. This event had been on my radar since the start of the year and I'd been following updates from the exhbition's curator Divia Patel on Twitter and the V&A blog.
Whilst general entry to the V&A is free, this is a special exhibition so you need to purchase tickets separately, and it's definitely worth it!
My main interest was the fashion fabrics but I found myself in awe and amazement at the other historical fabrics, including Tipu Sultan's tent from the 18th Century:
Other key pieces in the exhibition include this Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla mirror work outfit worn by Madhuri Dixit in the film Devdas. The outfit was so heavy that it only ended up being worn in promo shots for the film!

Another of the more modern indian outfits on display at the exhibition is this bride and groom's wedding ensemble designed by Sabyasachi, if you think these look good in the photos, I can tell you they look even more amazing in person!
From traditional indian outfits like bridal lenghas and saris, the exhibition also showcases designers who are using traditional techniques in an ultra-modern way, with the most notable example being Manish Arora.
I was lucky enough to get a ticket to a conference all about the Fabric of India exhibition with talks from the curators and guest speakers, including Manish Arora himself! He talked through the inspiration behind some of his collections and how he works with his garment makers to turn his vision into reality.
I came away feeling inspired, not just by Manish Arora (although I was very tempted to run to Selfridges and buy something by Manish Arora - incidently, they have a small collection available to buy online, check it out here)
The Fabric of India exhibition is on until 10th January 2016 and is well worth a visit, as is the V&A in general! Find out more info about booking tickets and opening times here.
